Hi guys.

I am looking for a fish to put with my clownfish pair, who have been in my 28gal tank for about maybe 6 months now.

I am interested in putting a firefish with them. Does anyone have experience with this? Will they attack the firefish? My clowns together seem very friendly, occasionally pecking at each other.

What do you guys think?
Thanks.

It will work for now, but clowns can get pretty aggressive as they mature, especially once they start spawning. In a small tank, a fish that occupies a different niche, such as a blenny or a watchman goby, may be better suited to life with clowns.

I have a yellow head jawfish and a royal gramma...all 4 coexist pretty well! The clowns were in the tank first for about a month and then I added the jawfish and gramma together. I also have 29g tank.

Blennies are really personable and fascinating fish, tail spot, starry, lawn mower, molly miller are just a few :D I currently have a lawn mower blenny and he is so much fun to watch.
