I have a few pairs of clownfish and all of the pairs sleep in the same place (anemone or flower pot) at night. However, a newer bonded pair (3-4 yr old F and 1.5 yr M- together for 6 months) sleep separately. Female sleeps inside the pot, male on the outside. During the day they are side by side always. Is this normal behavior for paired clowns?
