So I bought two ocellaris clownfish from the same tank in early June. One was already bigger than the other (the now female clown is about an inch and a half and the males about an inch). They get along fine and everything but they never really swim or sleep together. The male doesn't follow her around the tank, they seem to just do their own thing. Like they accept each other presence but nothing much else than that. So they are paired I think but they just don't do anything together its like they are two separate fish living in the same tank. I was wondering if there was anything I could do like feed them more or differently idk, I already feed them pellets twice a day. It's also not like they didn't have much time together cause they've been in the tank since early june. They're also the only two fish in the tank. Any thoughts?

sometimes it takes time. and sometimes it doesn’t happen at all.

The reason why I think they're at least somewhat paired is because when the light goes off for night shell swim up to him and he will turn sideways and have his epileptic seizure and they'll do this a bunch of times a night. But like I said before they dont sleep together and or hang out together much during the day.

Sounds like in bonding process.

Sometimes they just don't stay close or pay much attention to each other for a while, and just seem to tolerate each other, this is still good, your sizes are fine, male twitching, so they should be fine.

My present pair were like this for about 4 months.

Don't be surprised if the female gets weird again w/ the male as she matures and ready to spawn soon, and it can look like the rehash process all over again until they spawn, and that is when they usually become inseparable.
