So, I have 40 gallon rimless with a pair of snowflake. I also have another 25 gallon with pair of black clownfish bigger than the snowflake pair and about to break down 25 gallon one.
My question is; is there a way to introduce the black pair into the 40 gallon and get along with snowflake?
Thanks.

I have no personal experience in this but Ive heard people can remove the fish from the display tank ( Your Snowflakes ) and keep them in a qt tank for a few weeks than reintroducing both pairs into the 40 gallon at the same time. Anyone else heard of this or had success?

The tank is to small the females would end up fighting to the death. There are some cases where pairs could be docile

If I've heard correctly wouldn't that only be an issue if the females of each group are the same size? Wouldn't the largest of them all stay a female and the smaller 3 become males ( The 2 that were already male stay the same and the smaller female becomes a male? ) I don't know too much of sex changes in clowns though.

There have been a few cases where it was "speculated" that a female reverted back to a male, but from what has been documented once a clown goes female there ain't no going back. So yes if you were to put the two pairs of clowns together you would more than likely end up with WWIII.

Now I know! Thanks!

Thanks yes this is true it like putting bulls In a 10 foot cage together. The the males will start fighting to see who will become a female. Most of the time when 2 females fight they tear each other up so bad they both die.
