Hi!

I was doing a water change today and noticed a “thing” on my clownfish. Appears to be white/light in color, is on the bottom near its right side gill, and appears to be maybe 1/8 long. My first thought was a fluke or some kind of worm. Did a FW dip and it remains on the fish. Attempted a manual removal and it did not want to come off.

Attempted to get a pic… see circled spot in the pics.

Thanks for the help!

Adding another pic. See circled area.

Looks like a skin tag from an injury either from fighting o clumsiness. Can use pics under white lighting to clearly see and confirm

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

I agree that this is a skin tag, there aren’t any parasites that look like that.

Unless the fish starts to show other symptoms, I would leave it alone.
