I was watching a movie with my GF and I was actually watching the tank per usual. When I noticed what I thought was clownfish dead. To my surprise he starting swimming and acting normal a few seconds after I noticed. Keeping a close eye on him now I start to see him drift in the current face up. I start to panic, "oh no he is dead", Nope. Not today! He speeds across the tank rubbing his belly on the sand in his favourite spot. He says Hi to the Royal Gramma and then proceeds to the front of the tank. At this point he points his head up and stops swimming. Letting the current take over and guide his body, he works his way in front of a powerhead. The current throws him across the tank and he hits the other side. Without skipping a beat he swims down rubs his belly says hi and does it over. And over. And over.

Anyone else have clownish that live up to the name?

Was he qt'd? I only ask because he could be fighting some parasites. Although, clowns are funny. I had an assessor loved to come out at night and play in the flow. Crazy fish.

He was not qt'd but yes he does love playing in the flow

Clowns do weird stuff like that. I have one that lays in a magnifica like he's dead. Tries not to move at all, and then starts falling out, then darts around the base of it in a circle and does it all over again. Super weird, but he's still alive after a few months of doing this.

Clowns are weird, I have a pair that host a long polyp toad stool. The male perches like a hawkfish on the edge of a toadstool fold, sometimes the hawkfish perches with him. Its always funny to watch.
