I've got some Clarkii clownfish that act pretty odd at times. I have a male who makes a corner of the tank bare from sand and the female chases all the other inhabitants to the other side of the tank. Is this some behavior that they are preparing to breed? Anyone have any similar instances?

Do you have an approximate age to the female?

I got them at separate times but she's about 4 in inches and even fights my 8 inch sailfin for food

I didn't have clarkii clowns but my tomato clowns bit on the rock where they planned to lay the eggs. They laid and hatched eggs twice a month for years. She tended to lay them late afternoon, 5 pm ish.

I've read a bit and this is typical from what alot of them do. I think mine are confused as to what they are trying to do.
