I purchased these two false perc clowns a week ago.

They were in a large tank with about 4 others.
Which I'm guessing would mean they were all juveniles.

I've had them for a week and I have not seen any signs of aggression (sexing)

I have seen one kind of twitch every so often to the other but that's it.

They always are together.

They sleep in the same spot at the top corner of the tank next to the return head and magnet cleaner.

Are they already male and female or has it not been enough time for them yet. I'd say they were about 2" each

One you begin to see that ones bigger than the other is when their sex change is occuring

Is it possible that there won't be much fighting? It looks like there the same size but like I said they never fight and are always together.

As i understand it the twitching is a sign of submission so I believe that one will be the male

That's what I've read. Like I said there isn't any fighting going on. It's almost like they have already decided he will be the male. He is the only one who twitches.

Maybe he's already submitted then... I never really experienced fighting with the clowns I had just nipping every once and a while then the twitching. So they may never fight

I haven't seen any nipping. And I spend a lot of time looking and fiddling with my tank.

It seems they love each other lol and every so often the "male" will twitch and at first I thought he could be dying but they both eat like crazy so I did research and seen that the male does the twitching.

And boy does he twitch.

Yea haha it scared me when I first had mine too! But seems you got a lucky pair that's just love at first sight lol! Good luck with them!

Thanks! I really enjoy watching them and they also interact with my skunk cleaner shrimp often.
