Clownfish question

I have a pair of clowns that I seperated so I could get one in a bin with a anenome

should I catch the other clown and put them together or leave them seperated. I don’t them to fight and lose their bond.

You can't make them bond, You can't make them host. Don't try and force these behaviors, IMHO.

I would keep them together. To do otherwise is to risk them not pairing when they are then put back together.

Decided to release the clown as I didn’t want to try and catch the second. Didn’t want to go to bed with them separated.

they instantly paired back together again and to the powerhead they went !

i might try a carpet nem in the future and see if they find it. Probably not but worth a shot, the nems are beautiful as is

Pretty common for them to host a piece of tank equipment. I have seen them host a thermometer...

Mine decided that a lovely swatch of green hair algae was the perfect host, and ignored the 'nem. Permanently. Ugh.
