My clownfish has recently began quickly twitching into the sandbed, It has constantly been the same spot and a small divot has appeared,

She is the dominant female and has a mated pair if that changes everything,

The hole is very close too the powerhead that they're hosting (which is nowhere close too my anenome btw)

This started 2 days ago, about 7 days ago I added a new fish (firefish) and yesterday I added a new light (Ai prime 16HD) as my stock evo 13.5 light broke if this changes anything.

here is a video

Congratulations! Your female is exhibiting mating behavior! I had a pair of clowns in a 20G tank that did the same thing. Some clowns like to dig a spot that's lower flow so that they can sleep easier. I also found that they are more like to begin spawning when this happens.

The clownfish have both been in the tank for 11 months, what would cause this sudden change?
You posted you recently added new fish.
If they were not QT’d, the risk of ick is present.
I can’t see the video, just the description you gave.

females like to redecorate sometimes, its truly annoying in a reef tank with high flow and sand all over the place (my experience)
