Hi guys,

I've had my 32 gal tank for about 9 months now. 2 clowns, diamond goby. Recently added 3 firefish that have since disappeared for the past week (not sure if relevant).

Close have looked perfect the entire time. This morning, the bigger one looks like he's got white dust on him. Is he sick? And if so how can I treat?

Thank you!

Hello! Sorry to hear about your clownfish! I'm not an expert with fish diseases, but they do look like they have something going on. A healthy fish with a healthy slime coat really shouldn't get "dirty", so if you're seeing something on him, it's likely some kind of parasite like Ich, Velvet, or Brooklynella (which Clownfish are particularly susceptible to) but again I'm not an exert.

I'm going to suggest you repost this question under the Fish Disease forum located at this link. This is where a lot of R2R experts on fish disease will most likely see your post. I'm sure someone here will be able to offer more solid advice:

Good luck!
