Have a pair of Clownfish for over a year now, both have been extremely healthy and no problems at all, I recently moved the pair from my display tank to my frag tank. I get home from work tonight and the big onyx is pale and Laying on the bottom of the tank. No spots like ich or peeling like brook? The frag tank has never had any ich or anything in it as well. What could it be? The parameters of the frag tank are better than my display tank, cleaner and less nutrients. Everything else is basically same. Salinity, alk, calcium temp, ph.

Hi Mike,

Sorry, I know it has been a while, but did not want to leave this unanswered. Any updates we can help with?

Wow, that was fast. Bummer the clown didn’t make it. Any visible signs of disease or illness?

The other clown is fine? Any other fish frag tank?
the other clown is great, I put him back into my display tank to pair up with the zombie clown, he’s been fine the whole time. Only other fish in frag tank is a small springeri damsel, he didn’t even acknowledge the pair of clowns when I put them in. I watched them for a good hour or soo too. No fighting or aggression either way.

Strange. Only idea, could clown have been injured in move to frag tank?
I was super careful to not hurt it at all, it took me a good hour or so too. I was thinking maybe super stressed? But idk if that would kill it. That quick too. It is what it is. Sucks it happened, but **** happens.
