Hi everyone,
It’s been awhile since I last posted. Just noticed something funky with my clownfish. I just brought home a Goni the other day. This morning my snowflake clown looked like he was rubbing against the sand and going up for air and a bit on the pale side. So to be on the safe side, I fished out my other fish and Put them in a 20g QT for now.

There is something funky going on with him. It looks like fluke, but not sure. I started prazi and metroplex. I plan to do 40% water change this weekend then do second dose of prazi. Should I do copper safe after another water change?

The plan is to keep the fish in QT for about 4-6 weeks to allow the DT to be fishless just in case.

here are some pic. Any thoughts?

This is very likely brooklynella from the symptoms described and pic’s shown
You can give it a 5 minute freshwater dip for temporary relief and plan on treatment
Formalin based treatment is the best recourse using quick cure or ruby rally pro
Start with a 45 minute formalin bath or 90 minute ruby bath and treat for 10-14 days
The haziness you see is mucus

So - you moved all of the fish to the 20g? Be sure to monitor ammonia in there.
I doubt this is flukes - clownfish don't get those very often, and they usually show up within a few weeks to a month after getting the fish.

Can you post a short video? That helps me judge issues with clownfish, breathing, swimming, etc.

@Jay Hemdal here a video. He kinda just hangs on the bottom

but, yeah we are definitely watching for ammonia and everything else

Hopefully this link works.

The clown is breathing a bit fast and is swimming stiffly. I'm having a difficult time seeing if it has Brooklynella - that is tough to see on white clownfish. If it does have brook, formalin is the best treatment (and can also help with flukes). I know it is tough to find it though. Rally Pro has formalin in it, but you can't tell the dose, so I'm not sure it is strong enough....and just upping the dose is dangerous.

I was able to find Rally Pro at the LFS.

i was able to find Rally and this online for a 90min bath.

Rally as a 90 minute bath, temperature controlling the water and providing plenty of aeration by using an air pump & air-stone. Ensure salinity, pH and temperature of bath & QT water match perfectly. Dosage is ~ 1 teaspoon of Rally per gallon of bath water.

Any thoughts

Sorry - I meant I don't know the concentration of formalin in Rally Pro, so their dose has no meaning. Formalin is dosed at a sliding scale of time, temperature and concentration. For tropical fish, less than 25 ppm won't be of any benefit. 25 ppm can be dosed for 24 hours. 75 ppm can be dosed for 2 hours, 100 ppm for an hour, 150 ppm for 45 minutes, etc.

Thanks everyone for their help. Clowns look much perkier and swimming all over the QT. HOW Long should I keep the DT fish less? 4-6 weeks?

Good to hear. The fallow period depends on the tank's water temperature. 76 days is best for tanks held below 80 F., but 45 days has worked well if the water temp is above 81. Unless there is some compelling reason to go shorter, it is safer to prolong the time.

We are going on vacation March 18 and I’m scared to leave them in the QT. I’m afraid of an ammonia spike while we are out.
