But I can't seem to find out what the first ones the males strain is

They're both ocellaris clownfish. They range in appearance, they also darken with age and size.

This is my clown but in not 100% if he ocellaris or percula? Any insight? Sold as ocellaris but looks a bit like a percula cause of the black coloration

Mine is the same but it's called a "just barely grade" ocellaris

Mine ligit looks like it's between a maroon and an ossie

Percula I would say. Thick stripe lines, more black on body, color is more yellow than ocellaris (both are orange but true percula are more yellow(ish) than ocellaris). IMO they have a different shape too but I can't really explain it, I just observe it.

I don't see it at all. Are you sure you just don't want it to be that? Lol

It's very unlikely any LFS would "accidentally" have one of these mixed in.

That is what I had thought but I was told by many that it was ocellaris. The characteristics did not seem like and ocellaris

I'll tell u y cuz Sunday I was in a pet store that specializes in all kinds of clowns and I didn't find not one that was even similar to mine other than their baby maroons but the maroons were darker and a bit diff

Here's a link to the breeder of them just barely grade clowns

Its possible they are some kinda hybrid, especially if it's as pink as you say. Its not like there are a bunch of random oops hybrids out there. ;) Might also be a mutation, or just a fluke he's lighter in coloring on the genes...

but it's not a BO...here are mine.

BO's are darker then a standard O but lighter then a M..more closer to a true red then either.
