Feeding my fish in the evening, as I always do, I noticed my female clown not come out to eat. Looked all over tank could not she her. Yesterday, looking in my tank in notice her swimming on her side at the top of the tank and eating voraciously, as she does. Before this all was fine, now not sure what's up. No signs of illness, no signs of disease, and all other tank mates are doing fine. Any ideas???

Agreed, about the freakines of clowns. She is a mated pair, normally hangs out with her mate in a cave towards the front. Just started out of the blue. Of course, she could be sleeping, as it is getting to be night time in the tank.

Clowns are very strange. I wouldn't worry unless she's doing this all the time. Watch her tomorrow -as best you can- and see if she stops doing it, or if she's only doing it at certain times.

Clowns are,.. well, clowns. They're so weird.

Got 2 last month, and they haven't left the corner since I put them in the tank. The smaller one swimming erratically two weeks ago randomly for two days, I was ready to put him on a QT that weekend, but viola, he never did it again. And the other one (on my profile picture), likes swimming/staying vertically. She also sleep vertically on the sandbed. LOL

Just monitor her closely in a couple days, watch out for weird stuff from her skin and poops. If you see some unusual stuff, it's time to prepare for a QT and medicines.
