Hi my platinum clown just started swimming at the bottom sometimes going sideways. He's been eating fine but last night my blue spot jawfish died from bsj disease. Can this have anything to do with it?

I would monitor and keep a close eye on him. If swimming on the side all the time it is not a very good sign unfortunately

Can you get a video or pic? Any other tankmates? What size tank? Any other symptoms or behavior? What makes you think the bsj died of bsj disease rather than something else?

The blue spot had white spots and I'm pretty sure it was bsj disease.
The clown died this morning though. Saw him stuck against the overflow.

Second one is dying now.. could the bsj disease could have killed them?

Typically, it remains confined to BSJ. Did the BSJ have white splotches or was it more like tiny grains of sugar sprinkled on the fish?

BSJ disease is usually shown as red or white splotches on the underside of the jawfish. I've never seen it spread to another fish. This sounds more like velvet is involved, but as humble asked, you would have to have seen sugar or salt like sprinkles on the fish.

It was white splotches.
The second clownfish survived today but is still swimming close to the bottom. I don't see any visible signs of ich or velvet on him plus the other fish are doing fine.

FWIW; I've successfully treated BSJ Disease by using Kanaplex + Metroplex. You could try the same for the surviving clown in a QT.

Ok thanks I'll have to try that.
I looked closer today and looks like he has fin rot. Possible early signs of Brooklynella.
