This is the same clown from this thread:
https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/c...ing-very-fast-help.275504/page-2#post-3325549

He was laying completely laying on his side in the tank and was breathing fast. So I decided to do another fw dip for 5 minutes instead of the 2 min I did last time. Both times I did the dip, he was very active and swimming around. Did I do the dip wrong?
I aerated the water with an air stone, heated the water, and added Prime as an ammonia neutralizer.
Did not see anything come off of him btw in the dip

I think that's typical. From the Velvet treatment thread....

Place the fish in the freshwater (FW) dip and observe closely. It is not unusual for them to freak out a little at first. Also, tangs are notorious for “playing dead” during a FW dip. The important thing is to watch their gills; they should be breathing heavily at all times during the dip. If breathing slows, it’s time to exit the dip. Dip the fish for no longer than 5 minutes.

The fish being active during a FW dip is better than it laying on it's side. ;)
