Just in case this is your first dip, when you do the dip make sure the water is temp matched and you have a lot of air moving around with an air stone/ pump while your dipping.
This is a real shock to the fish and some don't make it. Don't dip in a plastic cup or something like that.
Just follow the directions in the thread and you'll be good

Also a good idea to have it approximately pH-matched, as well as temp-matched.
pH is most easily adjusted by adding a small amount of tank water to the freshwater dip.
