So my TTM finish last weekend. When I moved my female clown to the QT. I noticed a spot or discoloration. Decided to watch it. It's still there. More of a discoloration, but it can be perceived as white. She's never shown any sign of ich. I decided to just watch. All three fish going thru TTM were definitely malnourished at the end of treatment. They just didn't want to eat, despite given lots of chances to eat. Firefish was the worst off. Any how, so we're now a week later, and it's still there. It's not raised or anything. Just a discoloration right around where the dorsal fin meets the body. I figure I'd watch it, thinking if could be from malnutrition. My two clowns and firefish never showed signs of ich. They'd been in my DT for over a year. Only reason they went thru TTM was due to the tomini tang who developed it and eventually died while undergoing copper treatment. What are your thoughts Humblefish and Meredith? should I do TTM again? Should I just watch. I was thinking of purchasing another tang and undergoing TTM again for it, while leaving these guys in QT. Display Tank is on day 27 of fallow.

Should I do copper next if it is ich? I won't do cupramine again. It was brutal on the fish first time around, which is why I went TTM route after that. I'd use Copper Power of Copper Safe if you think I should do another treatment.

@reynaldoramon Ich trophonts (i.e. white spots) can only remain on a fish for 7 days max, so anything longer than that may just be Lymphocystis or something else.

@Isaac113 Your plan will work. However, I would remove the LR before ever using copper as rock will absorb it and make it difficult to maintain a stable concentration.
But if I completed a course of TTM, there should be no trophants. Correct? And if it were lymphocystis, then there's nothing I can do. Correct? I miss the days of ignorance. They were bliss. Not sure what to do from here. It's exactly one week since TTM period ended.

Have to say, I just looked at pictures of lymphocystis and it looks nothing like that. What I'm see is barely noticeable. Going to keep watching for now.

@reynaldoramon Can you post a pic of the fish with the spot?
For the life of me, I can not get a picture. But I do notice one or two more discolorations. It doesn't look like ich I've seen in the past. In other words, not necessarily white spots, but faded color from it's normal color. Not sure if that makes sense. It's only on the female clown. Acting normal. The male clown and firefish don't show any discoloration. Any one notice this in clowns. I'll probably keep watching, and trying to capture a picture.

Without a picture it will be difficult to give you a positive ID. I'm thinking it sounds like a mild infection of some sort. I usually see this on anthias- the discoloration in one or two spots on the side of the fish. It ends up being an infection and wipes them all out before treatment is complete. Anyway, pictures will be important with this one and I dont wanna get too ahead of myself like usual. ;)
