2 days ago, I introduced a new black ocellaris clownfish to my 55 gallon tank. I have tried feeding baby brine shrimp and flakes but it hasn't eaten either. What should I do? Do I just need to wait?

If the other clown is symptom free, this one is unlikely to have anything that metroplex would help with. It could be a bacterial issue, so Kanaplex is a good option. Boiled peas - that is an old remedy for fancy goldfish that somehow got applied to marine fish, it doesn't do anything for them.

Do you have any idea as to the possible age of this fish? You've had it 4 years, was it an adult when you got it?

I believe it was an adult when I got it. The LFS said one big clown and one smaller one would likely mate and they have mated a lot. Not very recently though. Could it just be old age? She looks good aside from the lethargy and lack of eating. This is day 3 on Kanaplex so I will keep following the directions and see how she does. She used to eat like a pig!

Could be old age, but clowns typically live 6 to 10 years, with up to 20 possible.
