so i read this book and it talks about if you are trouble getting clownfish to spawn look at your fish they will tell you whats wrong, one of the things mentioned are fish yawning, and i do notice my females yawning a lot. currently my ph is 1.022 and temp 82. the book goes to say that its more difficult for fish to breathe as temp and salinity levels raise. they say dropping the salinity allows the fish to breathe better and therefor allowing the fish to be stressless and become more apt to spawn. i have talked to a few breeders who keep their tanks in the ..017/19 range with temp in the 84-86. i am half asleep and the book is not next to me to quote exactly what is says, but will repost better info tomorrow. question is since i am really having issues getting my pairs to lay do you think i should start t o lower my salinity? hopefully speeding up metabolisms to get my picky eating clowns to eat more and become more active with each other? I'm kinda at my end here with this adventure and grasping at straws. current settings are not working, fish were so called egg layers but starting to think it might be something i doing?
