Can you mix black and white clowns with normal clownfish? I would like to get 2 of each. I have a 90 gallon tank and these would be my first fish.

Yes but in a 90 gallon they may fight. I have one black and white ocellaris and a regular ocellaris and they get along swimmingly! (Pun intended :D)

In my experience clownfish love to fight with other clownfish. If they are different kinds they might not stop. If you are talking about adding 6 to a 90 gallon tank it is doubtful that you will have that many 6 months down the road.

So I should stick to one kind? How many should I have?
Two. You can mix and match them, I've had probably 5 pairs of black ocellaris mixed with normal that did fine for years until I sold them or moved them. I still have a pair left.

Also why is there such a range in price? I like the normal orange black and white ones. The $12 ones. Is there any reason to pay more other than you like the look?

The range in price is because every other day someone comes up with a new designer clown. Just pick the one you like and if you are new to it the cheaper ones will be better. If I were you I would probably throw in 4-5 of the $12 percs to start. It's better to start with all tiny clowns or all tiny with one large to help with the dominance issues you'll experience
