It's just the one eye...so brook could do it...Any parasitic infection can cause it, but if it's just the one eye, then it probably got injured. If it gets infected, then it will turn cloudy next. Epsom salt can help with the swelling though.
Also what is the compatibility with Epsom salt and rally?Any parasitic infection can cause it, but if it's just the one eye, then it probably got injured. If it gets infected, then it will turn cloudy next. Epsom salt can help with the swelling though.
I've never tested it. I think one or two people said it worked fine for them, but I can't remember much of the circumstances. If you don't feel too strongly about those zoas you could test it.Also, rally says it's reef safe. Has it ever been tested? Reason I ask is if like to treat my other qt but it has zoas in it...
The one eye usually means it's just an injury. If it were brook causing it, then I would expect both eyes to be cloudy and swollen. It's just the one eye...so brook could do it...
Epsom salt shouldn't cause any problems when mixed with Rally. Also what is the compatibility with Epsom salt and rally?
I miget test it out when I get most of them in tank and have a few frags I could spare, will have to get Epsom salt tomorrow, hopefully the rally takes care of the issue....I've never tested it. After further inspection it looks like either skin is peeling off of her on her head or bubbles in the skin. @melypr1985.
What do you think?
Yes...I have ruby dosed in my qt currently....not sure it's working too well...might have to switch to formalin. This pretty much confirms that the fish has Brook.
Have you read this thread yet? https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/brooklynella.247938/
The mucus sloughing off is a response to the parasite. The parasite needs to be cleared for awhile before you will see that visible symptom improved. Going back in the thread it looks like you just started treating yesterday, correct? If so, give it a little more time.Yes...I have ruby dosed in my qt currently....not sure it's working too well...might have to switch to formalin.
Yes I started yesterday when we first saw the symptoms....rally says it takes 3 days so tomorrow hopefully it is all cleared. I will be doing Epsom salt tonight....but need to know how muchThe mucus sloughing off is a response to the parasite.
