Does anybody else here have a clown that could out swim Michael Phelps lol? I swear I'm going to enter my clown in some type of swimming marathon. At times I catch him swimming laps faster than flash around the tank. I know one problem is I don't have some type of coral he can host but my tank is not at the point to add corals I want to make sure tank is fully established. But would like to hear from you guys how your clowns act. Happy reefing

Reduce the amount of steroids added to food
Mine can be a missle in water when it wants to be especially when food hits the water

Yes I have no corals in yet want to do more research so I don't just bleach and kill my corals in the first week. Alot more chemistry to saltwater then fresh. Thanks guy

Whenever the water change tube hits the tank both of my clowns turn into torpedos, especially if I get it close to the area they are currently claiming is their host spot. Crazy how fast those little fella can book it.

My clowns are weirdly non-aggressive — it’s been a year and I hope it stays that way. They have a spot in the back corner of the tank next to the powerhead where they sleep and retreat to if scared, but no coral or anemone host. They’re all over the tank during the day, and the female hunts amphipods in the sand or will disturb macroalgae on the rocks to set some loose that she can go after. Wouldn’t really classify either of them as a torpedo tho lol.

It's funny you say that about the gravel vac. My RG and wrasse and clown go crazy as well once they see it in the tank lol

I had to take my other clown back to LFS. I gave a beautiful white flurry clown and gus neon blue pops like crazy but I got a smaller normal orange black and white clown and for some reason my flurry does not stick up for himself. He was way bigger then this clown but wouldn't fight back and after his fins getting nipped up I said no more I paid alot more for the flurry then the regular clown and he was in the tank first so I had to take him back. But the flurry is doing awesome now. He owns the whole tank swimming all over it but like many have said it's because he hasn't found a host yet
