Hello every one Happy reefing, so i have a problem. I have a blue velvet damsel and a Scopas tang in my 100 gallon. They have been the only 2 fishes since i finished the cycle. I try and add 2 clown fish but they end up dying. Can it be possible that the 2 fishes already in the tank intimidate the clowns. The clowns end up hiding in one corner never come out of there and eventualy starve to death. Should i introduce my clowns first so they can feel safe and then introduce other fishes. TIA.

I think bullying is very possible. I would suspect the damsel first.

I’ve had issues like this. Can u get an acclamation box. Fish bullies are no joke. But it’s probably the damsel. Toss em in the sump

Put the suspected bully in an acclimation box for 1 or 2 weeks while your clowns acclimate to their surrounding and find their space. How small were your clowns. Usually clowns can stand their own. You could also divide your tank with a egg crate, and put the bully in a small corner instead of using the box.
