I agree that they look like Amhiprion clarkii clownfish, or possibly Amphiprion sebae clownfish.I saw these two at a lfs, they were listed as " Xanthurus clowns" I suspect they are juveniles of some Clarkii strain, but am just not confident about that. Any thoughts? Thank you.![]()
That is what I am finding with a bit more research: Amphiprion xanthurus is synonymous with Amphiprion clarkii and several other species names.I think that is another name for a clarkii.
I think you might be right on them being Allardi clownfish! I'd never heard of this species before.They look more like Allardi clownfish since it appears they are loosing the tail stripe.
It's harder to tell with the Clarkii complex when they are small.
