Clowning around:(

Ok so I have a 40 gal breeder. Been set up for 10 months now. I have 2 Occelarris clowns,a yellow coris and a hippo tang. The female clown has been fine just the usual aggression. Well today I got home from school and I found her EATING my acro. I know this acro wasn't rtning because it was fine in the morning. Any ideas why she would do this?

Clowns are known to bite at corals (especially if they host them). Mine destroyed a hammer coral I had in the tank they we're hosting. They would literally rip off chunks

Move the coral. My son's damsel destroyed an sps for the same reason. It's all about territory. She will win. We think about it this way, she's arranging her furniture. Btw, the sps healed fine.

Unfortunately it’s a clown thing. You could also try moving the acro to another location in the tank. Good luck!

Thanks for this tip. I luckily haven't had this problem yet but would not have thought to do this so I'll keep it in mind if I ever start to see it.
