Clownfish are not my first choice of reef fish. I'm more of a wrasse-man myself. However, I really want to get one or a pair of Premnas biaculeatus due to their anemone hosting abilities.

1) Are there any smaller clowns that are yellow? I see Premnas biaculeatus but they get pretty big. Love the deep red and dark yellow.
2) Do you think a pair would do well with a handful of wrasse and a tang in a 180 SPS?
3) Any other hosting behavior out there aside from these clowns?!?

Thanks!

You are talking about Maroon Clowns. They do get pretty big over time and are more of the aggressive ones out there. Each species of clown host different nems. I just added a pair of Lightning Maroons 2 days ago and they immediately began hosting my BTA in a matter of a half hour of being in the tank! I also have a pair of Ocellaris too along with a few tangs, leopard wrasse, and flashed wrasse and everyone seems to be getting along.

Maroon clowns would do well in that tank. There are ocellaris x maroon hybrids which don't grow as big, but they don't have any yellow.
My pair are doing fine even with a snowflake eel in the tank, so I'm sure they would do fine with wrasses and tangs
