Can anyone help? Past week my clownfish have Ben acting a little odd . They are acting well and water parameters are good but they seem to be hanging round the outlet pipe most of the time, right up in the corner.Any suggestions???

are there any other fish in the tank? Hanging in the corner can be a result of bullying.

To me it looks like they are “hosting” your equipment. Clowns will host EVERYTHING in your tank. I had a maroon clownfish host my ATO gadget in my tank until the discovered the nem and then he moved to one after about a month. I dont think they are being bullied at all and dont look sick, they just think that stuff is hosting them. Clowns are very strange

+3 looks fine to me - mine did this next to the overflow for a few weeks when first added

Had them for nearly 2 months now. Just wondering if it's one of those weird things clown fish do

You know how in the wild you see them swimming in a anemone? That called hosting the anemone. It just means that they live in the anemone and the anemone lets them live in it. Clownfish in aquariums will host nems too but a lot will host equipment and other random things or corals.

An example of hosting: Ive got a pair of clowns in both systems.

Yeah so to me it looks like they like that pipe or whatever it is and decided to host it. Typical clown things.

So should I get an anonme (sorry can't spell it) I was told tank bred clowns won't take to them ?????
Yes they can host a nem. But nems need a mature tank of 9 months to a year for it to survive

And yes they do host. Its natural instinct even if tank bred. Its their symbiotic relationship. Both of mg pairs are tank raised and took to the nem within a week!

Clownfish do not hosting anything except parasites. Just saying.
Not true, if you QT and take care of them they wont have them. And yes they will host anything in a tank

What has your clownfish hosted?
They have hosted a pile of sand, a ATO system, return valves, random rocks, and my personal favorite was when they were hosting my zoa colony
