I've had my false percs for a while. My oldest is 2 years, other about 7 months ago. I got my RBTA about a year ago. After I quarantined the youngest clown and added him to my DT, he hosted the anem maybe 2-3 times. Since then, neither of my clowns hosted the anemone. I figured out the anemone was attached to the bottom of a loose coral and placed it in a breeders net last night. I heard you can get the clowns and the anemone in the same place and the clowns will eventually host. So, I caught both the clowns and put them in the breeders net with the anemone.

I was doing some more reading and some people say you could kill the clowns doing it this way. I'm at work now. Did I just sentence the clowns to death? The anemone is only about 2-3 inches and there is room for the clowns in the net.

You're probably safe, but it's an extremely risky method of introduction and not something I promote.

E. quadricolors have one of the weaker stings for a hosting anemone, but still not the best idea. If this was tried with an S. haddoni, the odds are great that the clowns would be a nice snack.

This is something I would never recommend, at best it won't work, at worse eaten clowns. Best to just let it happen without any outside influence.

Just let it happen... Mine take to anything that moves
