Hey guys, new to reefing, so I’ll probably have a ton of questions
. Anyway, I couldn’t find a thread on this so I’ll ask it here. I have 2 clowns, a turbo snail, a Halloween hermit, and I just got a scarlet cleaner shrimp. I’m curious if the clowns will eventually warm up to the shrimp and let the shrimp clean them? For now the clowns are definitely avoiding the shrimp, I think because:
1. I literally just put it in there
2. The shrimp is actually bigger than my clowns
3. The clowns are captive bred so I’m thinking they don’t have the instinct to let the shrimp clean them
Now, there’s no issues really. The clowns aren’t acting stressed out; they’re swimming around like normal and whatnot. I’m just wondering if I’m asking the obvious and answering my own question in stating that I just need to give the clowns time to get used to the shrimp being in the tank.
For reference, I have 32.5G tank, my clowns are about an inch each, and my shrimp is, well, bigger than that (my guess is adult size).
Thanks in advance!
