So I have tried everything to get my clowns to host either my carpet or long tentical. Put up picture placed in bucket but it just seems the anemone just stings them. They will just not play in it. I have a maroon and common.

Clownfish naturally don't host Condalactus (haitian) anemones because they are not indigenous to the same area but it is possible and the first picture is of a carpet anemone which is known to work with some species... Hmm I've hear taping a picture of clownfish in an anemone to the tank might help, along with catching them and getting a tube and sliding them down the tube into the anemone as well...

I'm definitely nowhere near an expert, and this is only through reading and talking to people at my LFS, but I feel as though clownfish have the ability to choose things they like and don't like, just like we (as humans) do. They each have individual personalities, and if they don't want to host in the anemone, then they won't. There is no way to force them to do it, it is completely up to what they want to do. I think giving them more time may help, or they could just be stubborn. Hope this kind of helps and best of luck to you.

I would just let them be. It will eventually host the anemone. Be patience.
Dont force it, youll just do more damage to your anemone and clowns, stressing them out

I tried the tube and bowl today anemone just stung them leaving white spots on them

The carpet is known to be very aggressive some clowns can tolerate it some can't.. they will usually build a thicker mucus coat to counter act the sting... one of the most popular anemones for a clownfish to host is a bubble tip. they aren't aggressive toward clowns but can be challenging to keep

True, tank raised clowns have never seen an anemone before so it takes time.. but like i said every species of clown naturally hosts different anemones.. but generally the bubble tip can be hosted my almost all of them.. or they can host a coral that looks like one.. you never know

I though a condi anemone had a pink or red stock mine is completely white is it a condi as well?

Tank rased clowns tank T I M E. Mine took 6 months.;)
my bad carpet eat fish. u need bubble tip or he mite of host the white anemone u have, ive had one maroon clowns two different times and they were mean to my other clowns. sorry for your loss.

He does come up and attack me when I'm cleaning the glass. I find it kind of funny feels like a Lil peck

I've had a clownfish draw some blood from a coworker before haha they can get pretty nasty sometimes lol

Just trying to help out but how old is the tank? I'm pretty sure carpets are tougher to keep than bubble tips (looks healthy though!). It's recommended to be in an established tank 6+ months if not a yr. Keep an eye on it & parameters so it should work out. I'm sure it wasn't cheap, so just trying to help. The condy isn't a natural host & won't work out probably. But you should have no issues keeping it.

+1 on keeping an eye on the maroon. Those guys can be vicious & may not work out with an ocellaris.

Your clowns are young still & more than likely captive bred. They'll probably eventually allow the nem to host eventually but it might be a while. Clowns can be rough & tear up a nem also, so just keep that in mind.

Tank is 2 months and a week old all pera are in check nitrates are a steedy .05 for the corals. Currently not dosing ca stays around 480 have not checked alk or mag. My coral guy gave me an sps for free to give me a warning if the tank is slipping. Supposably the sps will start to die first. Also the carpet cost me 20 bucks from petco
