So I was doing my weekly husbandry on the tank and cutting coral when I noticed a cluster of eggs snagged in the guard on my MP40.

Fish in the tank That have a pair:
- Wide Barred Shrimp Goby pair
- Zebra barred Dartfish trio
- DaVinci Clownfish pair

They don’t look like clownfish eggs to me. I do have a pair of blood red shrimp too.

I’m stumped.

hi,interesting, goby, dartfish my guess ,shrimp carry, agree do not look like clown eggs ,following  @Jay Hemdal ;):)

You mentioned fish that you have a pair of, don't forget that unfertilized eggs can also be released by a lone female fish. As said, not shrimp or clownfish. My guess would be the gobies, as they should make an egg cluster that they incubate in their burrow - they may have gotten kicked out due to developmental issues.

Thanks Jay! Appreciate the advice.

Non-fish pairs are Blue tang, yellow tang, blue star leopard wrasse, kaudern’s cardinalfish, and royal gramma. I also have a six line and another tang in the frag tank linked into this system.
