Co2 scrubber help

Yes that should be fine. If you let the media dry it should be ok as well

I have easy access to outside air being in my basement. All I did was connect an air line to the top of the redtube silencer.

So start over let everything dry?

Well if you take the media out to dry it will suck all the CO2 out of your air in the room exhausitng it. I would empty the water as best you can, dry it on a towel quicklu and wipe out the reactor and use it like that.
 
Yes that is what you need to do although drying the hardware with towels will suffice. Media might need to dry on it's own. If you have more media use it 1st. Moist air will not hurt your skimming
 
Drying eveeything.. so input from skimmer to output of reactor and in part just leave hose out to suck air . Am I getting that right? I wish it came with better instructions!

Yes open end on the side without the skimmer tube.
