Is there a non-aquarium branded media for this purpose that can be purchased in bulk to help limit costs a bit? Not concerned with needing to be color changing, as PH is closely monitored in my system.

Out of curiosity, what’s everyone getting for a PH boost with their scrubbers? Just hooked mine up last night and I only used 375ml of Kalkwasser to maintain PH, as opposed to the 1800ml I have been dosing at night. Today PH is already up more than normal as well. I’m hoping PH will settle in around the 8.2 mark with normal kalk dosing amount which is a tick less than my evap rate.

So far, getting about .06 increase it seems, which isn’t huge, but helpful. My tank has suppressed PH and runs around 7.8 with no effort to bring it up. Will be interesting to see how much I can adjust upwards with same kalk consumption at night time.

That reading was taken without anything being dosed. Only had a CaRx running at that time. I have since taken it offline until my corals demand more. I now dose Kalk, but that wasn’t during that time.
