I have a 37 gallon aio setup with a reef octopus hob 1000 skimmer with 420lph of air flow. My tank suffers from low ph, I cant have the windows constantly open (I did try to run an airline directly outside and didn't work)so this seemed like the best option for me. I used a phosban 150 reactor and there is about 2ft of hosing going directly from the skimmer to the reactor, but it doesn't raise my ph at all I'm still sitting at 7.8 as my high ph during the day and I don't know how low it get during the night. I am looking for some help or someone that has ran into and solved this problem in the past.

I was able to keep my windows open all spring and had incredible growth with all my corals. but it's too hot during the summer months and too cold in the winter months. So I'm looking for a permanent fix. I have toyed with the idea as a kalk drip too.

I am using one bag 1.2 pounds of BRS CO2 Absorbent Media, in an AquaMaxx Reactor, plumbed direct to my Skimmer air inlet. I have a Voss water bottle plumbed to air inlet of reactor with RODI to keep inlet air humid and prolong the absorbent. My pH in my 160 gal reef was 8 to 8.05, now I am at 8.2 pm to 8.3 with lights on.

My pH came up almost immediately??? In fact I slowed it down by opening my Y valve. Sorry.

Don't know. Surely a water change will help, I use Fritz Pro which has high dKh and pH.

Who's absorbent you using? 37 gal should be easy if your skimmer sucks enough air.

Did you watch the BRS videos? Good luck!!!

Water change is really a temporary option, I am using two little fishies co2 absorbent. I watched the BRS videos and seem to think maybe the skimmer is not pulling enough air in.

I am thinking about using an airstone attached to the co2 scrubber and see if that helps otherwise I am stumped.

I also use fritz blue box salt,

Biddence have you tried the airstone to co2 scrubber yet? any results?

I have not tried the air stone attachment to the co2 scrubber, but I have seen a slight bump in my ph with the scrubber attached to the skimmer, I went from 7.8 to 8. I use a ph test kit and not a meter, so there is definitely a bump but the exact amount is impossible to tell.

I think I got mine fixed. The skimmer started to over skim for no reason. Went home today and took out the co2 media. Some of it was clumped together. Threw that out and replaced it. So far it has gone up from 7.8 to 7.87. Hoping it will hit 7.9. But not holding my breath today. I'm sure it will go down to 7.7x so tomorrow it should hit 7.9 ppm. M as the higher.
