Co2 scrubber ph too high??

So BRS has a sale on CO2 scrubbers. I am thinking about getting one (my wife hates the airline out the window look). Is this kind of self regulating? Can the pH get too high or will it kind of stay the same as the window trick?

I have a small tank (34 gallon) so I would expect the media to last a while. The site says 2-4 weeks. I think it would last longer using the Red Sea skimmer.

I use one and do not have an issue with Ph getting too high. Sits around 8.2 during the day and 8.0 at night. Used to be 7.8 during the day and 7.6 at night before the scrubber was added. My alk consumption also increased at the same time

40 gallon system, so it's very close to the same as yours. I feed my co2 scrubber through the air intake of my Reef Octopus BH2000. The media lasts a solid 3 weeks for me, sometimes 4. I order media from Amazon as it's slightly cheaper. A 3lb bag fills the thing 2 and half times.

I'm about 7.9 night and 8.15-8.2 day. That's with the airline out the window. It might be worth the $30 plus media.

Where do you get the media?

It seems BRS has a better price right now. That wasn't the case when I order 2 bags 4 months ago though. BRS was out of stock then. I'd recommend BRS right now for sure

I ordered the reactor with 7.5 pounds of media for $57.33. That should do me well for a while.

I also ordered some carbon that was all on sale. I think I got the same price today that I would get on black Friday.
