I just hooked up the brs co2 universal scrubber to my eshopps skimmer. I might of over filled the co2 scrubber a little to much and have it packed in there. I am definitely seeing a small slow increase in ph but at the same time I do see my skimmer is not producing the same amount of bubbles in the skimmer. I have the co2 scrubber drawing the co2 from the skimmer and through the media and back into the airline.

That’s normal as the media causes a slight air restriction.

I got a little bit better bubbles. first I took off the co2 canister then it went back to normal. and looked at the amount of media. I had it filled jam packed. then realized I didn't put it back together right. once I got that corrected. bam. put it back together and it is now started to skim and better air flow now. and added 2 teaspoons of water in the canister not touching the media...

Just make sure the air intake port on the skimmer itself doesn’t have any built up debris etc.

120reefer. I had to much media in the co2 scrubber
2. I didn't put it back together correctly. so that effected it.

I'm just wondering how long will it take for me to see any increase in PH. since I have had it on and running. it has gone from 7.5 to 7.7 in 4 hours. I was hoping it would of increased to atleast 8.0 ppm by now. but it is clearly slower than that.

You’ll see continued improvement over the next several days.

cool. Im also wondering how long the media will last. I have it pulling the co2 from the simmer to the co2 scrubber and into the air line to the skimmer. so I hope it last longer than a week or 2 weeks. I have no clue why my PH is around 7.6 to 7.7 ppm. When it should be. I have a hole in my back porch which is in the same room as my tank. and I also have 6 soon to be 9 pvc pipes I think by code they have to be 3 inch in diameter running to the outside. with new air conditioning coming they have to put 3 more pvc pipes in the basement running to the outside. don't know the purpose of those but it's what the city is requiring that has to be done.

Media usage largely depends on how much CO2 is being removed. Also the larger the skimmer and the more air being pulled through it will also deplete it faster.

Just let it do its thing

Do you have a photo of how it’s connected to the skimmer? I have an Eshopps skimmer and not sure where to connect it.
