Co2 Scrubber using Aquamaxx Reactor/Tunze Skimmer

I have a spare Aquamaxx Reactor and want to use as CO2 scrubber. So I filled it with soda lime and using connected a hose to the middle inlet and then the off center outlet goes to my skimmer.
I have a Tunze 9410 DOC skimmer. Am I correct in connecting this as in the picture? Should I remove the silencer and plug the hose straight to the pump?
