I have had a CO2 scrubber i bought from BRS for over a month now. I have hooked it up to the inlet on my Vertex Omega 130 skimmer on a 40 breeder with a DIY 20 gallon long sump. I have not seen any difference in pH (hangs around 7.6) after this long and none of the media has changed colors. Am i doing something wrong i am trying to get pH to at least 8.1 would make me happy. I have a BRS 2part doser i am hooking up this week as well. This pH is measured with an APEX controller i have calibrated 3 times with new calibration fluid each time. As well as checked with a RED SEA test kit.

Are the pellets still white with a slight hint of blue? When I used my scrubber they would change to purple within a week which showed they were exhausted then within a day turn back pure white if I missed the color change. Just a thought you may have missed the color change. Have you tried to run a hose from your Skimmer intake outside for a hour or so just to see if it helped?

They are solid white. And no i have to tubing to run outside but i havent yet.

As stated before, how long has the media been use, it usually only last between a week or 2. Also, you have to either add a table spoon of ro/di water every other day or run a line from the intake of the Co2 scrubber to the skimmer cup to keep media moist.

I bet it's fully exhausted. I've never had the media last longer then a week.
