Thank you, good luck. I've tried nudis in the past. My rock isn't ideal for them (separate islands) and I fear both the kole + wrasse just love them. But I'll do it again. The wrasse + anthia need new (large) homes.

My entire coast 2 coast overflow is covered on the inside with aip.

Going to toss some Peppermint shrimp from Algae Barn, inside that huge overflow box...

Too much flow for nudi's in there...

I have a Melanurus and canary blenny that both pick at the rock for pods. I'm not sure if the nudis would survive in my tank either. I have a local guy that has some peppermints that are known to eat aip, so I'm going to try his 1st. I bought 4 and one is still living but it doesn't touch them. I'm hoping that adding some that are known to eat aip will show him how and take care of them. I've had good luck in the past with them but not the last time.

Two challenges with Clarisea: 1) Size 2) There is only one in-flow.

For #2, it has a 1" PVC intake. My drain line was hard-plumbed with a union just before the turn into the sump. I replaced the bottom part of the union with a flex nozzle and just ran 8" of 1" silicon tubing to another nozzle on the clarisea. So it was straightforward. I have good hose clamps on both ends, so flex tubing was easy.

My emergency / backup drain flows directly into the sump, so any water into that drain completely misses the clarisea. That's the nice thing about the custom GEOs sumps with the clarisea integrated, in their design, all 3 of their drains empty into the clarisea.

To replace the filter roll, I just staple the new fleece to the old and pull it thru. So you don't need to remove the unit to replace the roll.

I had a triton style sump with no filter socks, so I installed it into my oversized fuge.

If you're trying to reduce maintenance, I would bypass it.

If you want the cleanest water possible + don't mind cleaning socks , you could keep them just to catch debris from the 2nd / 3rd drain.

I am much more diligent about keeping my main drain clean, and not letting water into the backup. Most of us are lazy, and there is probably a good trickle or large amount into the 2nd drain.

Correct, miami hurricane chalice + sunset monti. Perhaps my oldest two corals. Shading is my issue. The chalice grows in a perfect circle, so 2 or 3 times I've broken the front off because it's starting to shade the monti. They seem to have a line of demarcation at the top that neither has crossed. That border has been stable for at least a year. The chalice is growing backwards (into the pectina now) and the monti seems to be growing forward after wrapping the whole rock.

I had 1/3 of the monti go white on me after too much carbon, it completely came back as you can see in the video. I don't run carbon, but sometimes want to run it for 2 days. I left it in for weeks, and the Monti *really* didn't like that. Removed it, he recovered pretty quickly.

Once the clarisea cleans up the water a bit, I'll get back to nice photograph + video. Tank is healthy, but the vermetid snails + aiptasia are annoying. I'll like to find the wrasse a new home and buy a bunch of nudis

I just got some wwc sunset monti myself from a friend, and that chalice is a stunner! Nice encrusting on ur sps garden as well. Hang in there. Glad to hear the monti recovered as well!

Looking great! Nice to see how well the Orphek's appear to be working for you! @Sabellafella is in your neck of the woods and at one point was breeding Nudi's. Maybe he can help? FWIW I used them in a tank a year or so back with a Yellow Coris and they did just fine.
