Cobalt MJs better than Marineland Maxi-jet?

Is the cobalt version of these pumps higher quality than the marineland version and worth double the price? I've bought several of the Marinelands and have not been impressed, they become unusable as the volute fits too loosely on the body and will rotate and fall off during operation.

Whether it's worth double the price, who knows. It is made in Italy and the original design so should be years of trouble free operation compared to the new ones which are junk.

Okay thanks, thats what I'm looking for. My originals lasted ~15 years and these new Marineland replacements have been going in the trash in about 2 years. I got so mad at one the other day I literally took it out into the driveway and backed my car over it.

Application is important.
The cobalt design works better wen there is a lot of back pressure like in a hob skimmer.

The other ones scream pretty loud.
