Could anybody please tell me how to configure my optical water sensor to send a email alarm when my ato source water becomes low? I have it all installed and realized I haven't the foggiest of how to program it.

Under the alarms tab, write “ If XXXX Open Then On” where you replace XXXX with the name of your optical sensor being used for this function.

u the man reef dude! thanks from the bottom of my salty heart!

Since I can't remember the name of my switches (Skimmate locker, wet floor sensor, ATO, etc.), I created a virtual outlet called "ATO_Empty" with the following
"Set OFF
IF SwX_X Open Then ON".

Then in the email alarm I added "If Output ATO_Empty = ON Then ON"

That way your email alert will be a little more meaningful "ATO_Empty" vs "SwX_X".

No problem. Glad to help! I recently went through setting up my first Apex, so it is still fresh in my memory. The thing to remember with the leak detectors and optical switches is that “closed” means their wet and “open” means dry.

? You can rename switches, they don’t need to stay SWX_X style. I name mine for what they are. Although I still have a virtual outlet for them with a defer 002:00 statement to prevent alarms caused by brief fluctuations in water level, like my arm in the tank.
