Cody.P's 75g Ultimate Build!

She’s wet!
On another note, I learned that my little 220v mishaps claimed my apex EB8 :/ time to try and fix that now...

Great start on this build! I really like the open/minimalist scape as it will provide plenty of space for growth and they always tend to make tanks look bigger than they are.

Bummer on the 220v "mishap" claiming your EB8 :( Like you said a few posts back, could have been worse (Radion, MPs, etc). Are you planning to use any rock or sand from your frag tank to get this bad boy rolling or just let it cycle naturally?

Following along for sure.

definitely could have been worse so I’m thankful it was only those couple pieces of equipment.
I just transferred over a bunch of pond matrix from my frag tank. It’s been sitting in the frag tank for months so it should help speed things up. Also plan to add some bacteria in a bottle :)

And she is officially cycling!!
Added a bunch of pond matrix from my current frag system so hoping that helps speed up things. Also plan to add some Bacteria in a bottle later today.
I am also recycling an old Ocean Revive LED for my refugium light. [emoji4] I’ll post more pics later when my other goodies arrive. I also plan to do some equipment reviews so stay tuned!

Looking good!

Great built well thought out! It's always real good when you can DIY most of the stuff yourself and get more enjoyment out of it cause you made it!

Cheers!

BRS making it look like Christmas around here.....Ok the Kessils aren’t mine lol. They are for my dads 180 but I tested the spread over my 75 and loved it. I might go that route. T5/Kessil should be sweet.

Two new drivers for my MP-10s (old ones broke) Energry bar for apex (fried the last one with 220v)
48” T5 retrofit kit [emoji4]
More pics to come as I set the stuff up!!

BRS just put a video out ultra low maintenance ULM series. He choose Kessils and 4 ATI blue plus. I'm surprised he didn't choose radions.

I just watched that haha. I had a slight chance of plans a couple days ago. Recently upgraded my dads 180 to Kessil 360s and wow it’s awesome! So I’ll be switching from radions to Kessil on this tank I think. I would run two blue plus and two Kessil 360s. Should give lots of good coverage I think.
I think that the Brs crew has always been a little partial to Kessil. And you can’t beat how easy they are to plug and play. That’s part of why I’m gonna run them. I like messing with all my equipment too much. And I think with only two knobs I’ll mess with em less often lol!

Nothing exciting here, thanks just cycling and I’m slowly adding more equipment. Today I finally hooked up the ATO and it worked perfect. Tapped into a water line and a drain line. Having never tapped into lines before, I found it pretty easy [emoji4]
So now my unit pushes water up into the attic and then half way across the house, inside the wall and come out at my tank. Solenoid, electrical floats and mechanical float work perfect. Very excited to never top off an ATO container.
Now to see how the solenoid holds up over time. I’ll keep everyone updated!

Looking good! Glad to hear things are chugging along and really like the choices you’ve made with the lighting. Going to be amazing!

Thanks! I love how this is turning out. Building my canopy this week and lights will be ordered next week hopefully!

Doing a 75 myself. Looks great so far.

Finished up the Canopy today. Soon I’ll add two vent fans to help cool the future LEDs and T5s.
I installed the LET T5 retrofit kit and it’s awesome! Really nice quality and a decent price. Still more details to do on the stand/canopy so they aren’t so boring [emoji4]

Coming along really nicely! I like the small touches you're adding to the stand as well.
