Cody's 80

Haha thanks, I'm almost glad that last tank leaked on me. Two leaky tanks in less than a month, I started to think I was cursed! o_O
Haha, not cursed, just some bad luck.

New tank is looking great! I bought a used 90 gallon a few years back. Was water testing it in my garage and the bottom seal failed, drained the entire tank! I tried to rebuild it and failed even after taking it completely apart twice. I ended up selling it on eBay for pennies! haha I no longer buy used tanks. Glad you got it all sorted out!

Thanks! Yea i might try and make a sump with it, but not sure yet. It was an old iguana tank, had a lot of small scratches i never saw previously so it was kind of a blessing in disguise. Deep Blue Rimless is one sweet setup!

Changed up the aquascaping some, also changed light spectrum with new bulbs from ATI
- 2 blue plus
- 2 coral plus
- 1 true actinic
- 1 purple plus

I really like the Deep Blue tanks. I currently have a freshwater 75, I could replace it with the deep blue 75. But I am on the fence and really want a 120 for the depth. You plan to keep the 80 or upgrade to a 120 still?

Imagine i'll stick with the 80 for a while, I really love this tank. The ghost over flow makes it that much sweeter. I did want a 120, but i'm really happy with this setup. If I do upgrade i'll probably go with a 6 foot tank.

wow this look amazing specially you done almost every diy nice job

Doors/Panels:

Finally bought some cabinet knobs, installed them along with the magnets. Highly recommend magnet panels vs hinged doors. I can pop these panels in and out and perform routine maintenance easy as cake. They're easy to install, cheap, no moving parts, and can be found at almost any local hardware store.

Love to see more.

Minor detail, but I used to mount my light the same way.

I found the top metal caps actually fit perfectly into the pipe (if in the right diameter of course). You can slide the end that connects to the light mounts (just the wire) through the bottom hole, slide the top connection part into the pipe, and then cap the pipe end. This way you don't see the top parts on top of the pipe.

Also, love the tank, I am running the same currently but with the shorter 8 bulb ATI. Im working towards keeping SPS but so far have no luck.

Thanks for the tip, i'll give it a shot!
