Coffee in the Reef Tank

Sorry the brain was thinking without explaining. This silly question has me thinking what if any effect caffein may have on cnidarians. It is a stretch but If nature has given this anemone an adenosine inhibitor as a component of its venom it did so to inhibit these receptors in some animal, maybe that animal is other sessile cnidarians? It's a stretch but fun to think about nonetheless.

The only use i could see caffine in a reef tank is using it as a pesticide iirc thats what plants make it for; to kill bugs.

I'd recommend the original poster drink more coffee regularly, to have the energy to keep the aquarium cleaner and the water changes happening. #nobrainer

:)

what in this thread leads you to believe I have a maintenance problem? My WC schedule is fine and my tank is great, thanks.

PS I'm sure my coffee uptake is fine as well
