Stand and tank. Red paint was all I had and I wanted to protect the wood from moisture.

Got the lights up. I had a 250 watt my t5ho combo just gathering dust so I put it to good use. Im using my old reef keeper lite as well. The return pump is a jebao dc 3000 I bought for my display tank but was too small. The tank I got for half price. The heaters are my old ones from my display after upgrading them. For flow I am using two hydors that came with my display and I upgraded them to wave makers. I have the overflow and return coming in tomorrow so after drilling and installing them I just need a sump and protein skimmer. So not a bad use for all the extra equipment I had laying around. Oh and I got a marinepure block on black Friday special from BRS.

Cant wait to get water in this baby and get it cycling

Got the overflow drilled and installed. Was a lot easier to drill than I thought.

Building the sump got a 20 long from petco dollar a gallon sale. Had some glass in the garage for the baffels.

First leak test. Total disaster the eshopps brand new overflow had a bad seal in the corner and leaked like a sieve. Some acrylic solvent, a clamp , and some silicone for good measures later the box don't leak. Wish I could say the same about the tank bulkhead.

The sump in action baffles work great no bubbles in the main sump area

My solution to the the loudest overflow I have ever heard durso to the rescue nice and quiet. Way better than the endless toilet flush it started out as

This is the 4th leak test between the main bulkhead seal and the overflow it has been an adventure. I will never buy this over flow again. Notice how low the water level is? The template is for rimless the instructions do not tell you this sooooo viola an overflow hole drilled way to low. I will cut some glass and cover the slots on the box that will bring the water level up. Tomorrow If it does not leak tonight I will start filling with salt water. The marine pure block comes in Monday and the skimmer will be here on Tues. So I will be in tank cycle business soon. Which is good I have xenia going wild i need to trim. Anyone in the Seattle area want some xenia? Free just pick it up

Nice work on the tank! I can empathize with those overflow kits not being great about water level. I had to re-measure mine a bunch of times after I realized the template would have had the water level like 2" below the trim.

My own fault I should have test fit it before drilling. Its an easy fix just some glass over the slots. The leaking overflow box is what really ticked me off.

I have been looking for these. Where have you found them online that ships? Nowhere local to me has them.. I love the dimensions

They sell them with screen tops as well. The seams on this thing are ridiculously thick. It's very well made.
Nice. Normally I'd be scared to order one since reptile tanks aren't as strong as aquariums usually as far as seams etc, but this one is clearly designed for water. Where did you find it online?

Pupdaddy is the one place I found it. I looked for it local because it was a little weird to me a dog centric retailer was selling a fish tank.
That's where I have seen them as well. I was going to order 4 due to the great price, but the reviews on the company are not the best

what spooked me was the 8.99 shipping on the tank. Ya great price but 89.99 for the tank and 9 bux for shipping sounds like a scam. See if your LFS will order them in for you.

I don't have a LFS unfortunately. I wonder if petsmart can special order zoomed products that they don't stock

Been filling the tank the last day and a half now that I finally got the bulkhead not leaking.

So close Almost there!!

My solution to the hole being drilled too low, thus causing the skimmer box to be too low, thus causing my water level to be about an inch and a half lower than I wanted. Strip of glass over the slots works great noisy as hell. I will get that black fiberey foam stuff and put it in there to help mitigate the noise.

And we have salt !!!

The heaters and marine pure block will be in tomorrow and the skimmer the day after that.
