I just received a 2 head torch coral and as soon as I opened the box I could tell something was wrong. The bag is full of mucous and cold to touch. I did a very fast acclimation
(15 minutes) mainly trying to raise the temps back up dipped for 7 minutes then placed in the tank at the bottom in shade. Has anyone gotten a cold torch and did it survive?

Thank you, I've never had a coral come in that cold before and it made me nervous.

Can't speak for a torch, but I've got stuff in a small 10 gal frag tank in the basement that was fine after the heater died. The tank had dropped down to 65 by the time I went down to feed my reef. Everything was closed up, but it all opened back up like normal after the heater was replaced and the temp got back up to 78.
