is this standard operating procedure? Recieved two separate livestock packages from two separate companies. Its 40 degrees here in Minnesota and they send the fish with a cold pack. Seems counterproductive. But maybe its normal.

Seen another post on here yesterday on this issue, they had 2 packages from the same supplier with cold packs, when they were not needed.
Strange, I can understand them being remiss and not adding anything but to go to the trouble of adding something that is not needed is weird.

Keep in mind the weather varies a lot this time of year.
I've had some packages recently where the origin and destination both had mild temps, but the hub (kentucky) was over 90. So they got ice packs. Perhaps something similar happened with yours.
