Cold weather makes my house lower in CO2

Just a quick observation now that I have been monitoring my indoor CO2. Even though I have a full house for Thankgiving that would normally drive my CO2 to 800ish...my CO2 is roughly below 500.

My guess is that since heat rises and I'm in a relatively old house I'm getting good airflow with the heat that is being lost to the winter. During warmer weather, the cool air in the house mostly stays put.

I heat with a boiler and I have a older house and am hoping I have the same results, however I was worried the CO2 would increase in the winter.... What C02 monitor do you use?

I know that water temperature influences the solubility of oxygen in water. Colder water = more oxygen, therefore less CO2. Maybe there's a similar effect in air?
 
I can think maybe two things gasses denser in colder. Also heating in cold environment with closed windows. Should be going up have you tried this in a different location like the attic, or the basement?
 
I have to change media in the CO2 scrubber more often during winter.
The air intake is from outside so it is not affected by the heating of the house but the air temperature

That is interesting. I get the opposite effect. As soon as my heating turns on and the house becomes warmer, my C02 goes up.
 
My other thoughts are if your heater is kicking on a lot. If it is on same level as tank it could be sucking it in to heater. They do use a lot of air draw.
 
The stack effect is amplified when there is a big difference in indoor and outdoor temperatures. That warm air escaping out the top of your house is drawing cool/"fresh" (it's not really fresh but it is) air in from the bottom.

This affect is worse in leakier/older homes with lots of air infiltration and poor insulation.
